Farming Endo and credits
Every mod rank costs Endo and credits, and for Primed mods that quickly means tens of thousands of Endo and almost two million credits. Here you see what a mod really costs and where to get both fastest.
This tutorial is only available in English and German for now.
At a glance
- Primed mod to rank 10
- 40,920 Endo
- Credits for it
- 1,976,436
- Best Endo source

01What is it about?
Mods get stronger when you upgrade them. For that you need two things: Endo and credits. Early on, whatever you pick up along the way is enough. As soon as you want to max Primed or Galvanized mods, it gets expensive. This tutorial shows you the costs and the best farming spots for both currencies.
The most important terms in short:
- Endo
- Blue energy used to upgrade mods. Enemies drop it, missions reward it, and you get it from dissolved mods.
- Credits
- The standard currency of the game. You need them for fusion, for blueprints in the Market and for every build in the Foundry.
- Fusion
- Upgrading a mod in the Mods segment. Every rank costs Endo and credits.
- Dissolve
- You break down a mod you do not need and get Endo back for it.
- Ayatan Sculpture
- An Orokin artwork you find in missions. Filled with Ayatan Stars, you trade it to Maroo for a lot of Endo.
- Credit Booster
- A Market booster (e.g. “7 Day Credit Booster”) that doubles your credits for a while.
- Rarity
- The color of the mod: Common (bronze), Uncommon (silver), Rare (gold), Legendary (platinum). It decides how expensive fusion is.
02What does a mod cost?
Each new rank costs twice as much as the one before. The base price depends on rarity: 10 Endo for Common, 20 for Uncommon, 30 for Rare and 40 for Legendary mods. Credits follow the same rule with 483, 966, 1,449 and 1,932 credits as the base price.
| Example mod | Rarity | Max rank | Endo | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Vitality | Common | 10 | 10,230 | 494,109 |
Serration | Uncommon | 10 | 20,460 | 988,218 |
Intensify | Rare | 5 | 930 | 44,919 |
Galvanized Chamber | Rare | 10 | 30,690 | 1,482,327 |
Primed Continuity | Legendary | 10 | 40,920 | 1,976,436 |
As you can see, a mod with 5 ranks is cheap and a mod with 10 ranks is expensive. That is the doubling at work. On a 10-rank mod, the last two ranks alone cost three quarters of the total.
| Legendary mod | Total Endo | Total credits |
|---|---|---|
| up to rank 5 | 1,240 | 59,892 |
| up to rank 8 | 10,200 | 492,660 |
| up to rank 9 | 20,440 | 987,252 |
| up to rank 10 | 40,920 | 1,976,436 |
03Do not max every mod
Especially early on it is tempting to push everything to the highest rank. That is usually a waste. Here is a smarter approach:
- First upgrade the mods you really use in many builds, for example
Serration,
Vitality or
Intensify. - Mods with 5 ranks are cheap. You can max them early.
- On 10-rank mods, rank 8 or 9 is often enough. You get most of the bonus for a fraction of the cost.
- A lower rank also costs less mod capacity. Sometimes another mod only fits if one stays a rank lower.
- Do not upgrade mods for weapons you only level for mastery.
04Best Endo sources
| Source | What you get | For whom |
|---|---|---|
| Arbitrations | 900, 1,200 or 1,500 Endo per rotation, plus Ayatan Sculptures and Vitus Essence | Experienced players, very good |
| Rathuum on the Steel Path (Yam or Vodyanoi, Sedna) | Lots of Endo drops from enemies, because the Steel Path doubles mod drop chance | Experienced players, great in a squad |
| Ayatan Sculptures | 1,425 to 3,450 Endo per filled sculpture at Maroo | Everyone |
| Dissolving mods | Base value plus 75% of the Endo invested in the mod | Everyone |
| Teshin’s weekly offer | 30,000 Endo for 150 Steel Essence, once every 8 weeks | Steel Path |
| Sorties | With some luck 4,000 Endo or an Ayatan Anasa Sculpture | From MR 5 and after “The War Within” |
| Kuva Fortress, Dakata | Resource caches with 400 to 600 Endo as rotation rewards | Mid game |
| Railjack | Salvaged Railjack components you do not need turn into Endo (75 to 300 depending on MK) | Railjack players |
The game counts Endo as a mod drop, not a resource. That is why only the Mod Drop Chance Booster helps. Resource Boosters and Retriever mods do nothing for Endo.
05Ayatan Sculptures and Maroo’s weekly hunt
Ayatan Sculptures are the easiest Endo source for beginners. You fill them with Ayatan Stars in the Mods segment and then sell them at Maroo’s Bazaar on Mars for Endo. Without stars you only get a fraction.
- 01
Find sculptures
Many missions have a 15% chance to hide a sculpture somewhere. It looks like a normal pickup on the minimap, but you have to pick it up with the interact key.
- 02
Maroo’s weekly hunt
Maroo’s Bazaar offers a weekly mission with a parkour room in the Orokin Tower or Orokin Derelict. A guaranteed sculpture waits at the end. It resets every Monday.
- 03
Collect stars
Ayatan Cyan Stars and Ayatan Amber Stars are found in containers and lockers. Kuakas on the Plains of Eidolon drop them too.
- 04
Fill and trade in
Insert all matching stars under “Ayatan Sculptures” in the Mods segment and hand the sculpture to Maroo.
| Sculpture | Stars | Endo when filled | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ayatan Anasa Sculpture | 2× Cyan, 2× Amber | 3,450 | Sorties, Archon Hunts |
| Ayatan Kitha Sculpture | 4× Cyan, 1× Amber | 3,000 | Necraloid (Loid) |
| Ayatan Zambuka Sculpture | 2× Cyan, 1× Amber | 2,600 | Arbitrations vendor, 50 Vitus Essence |
| Ayatan Orta Sculpture | 3× Cyan, 1× Amber | 2,700 | Missions, weekly hunt |
| Ayatan Vaya Sculpture | 2× Cyan, 1× Amber | 1,800 | Missions, weekly hunt |
| Ayatan Ayr Sculpture | 3× Cyan | 1,425 | Missions, weekly hunt |
06Best credit sources
| Source | What you get | For whom |
|---|---|---|
| The Index (Neptune) | High risk: 50,000 wager, 250,000 back per round won (200,000 profit) | Everyone with Neptune, the classic |
| Arbitrations | 50,000 credits per completion | Experienced players |
| Sorties | 20,000 + 30,000 + 50,000 credits for the three missions, once per day | From MR 5 and after “The War Within” |
| Laomedeia (Neptune, Disruption) | 30,000 credits per B rotation, 50,000 per C rotation | Everyone with Neptune |
| Dark Sector nodes, e.g. Hieracon (Pluto) | Bonus credits on top of the mission reward, Hieracon gives 20,000 after the first excavator | Beginners |
| Profit-Taker (Orb Vallis) | 125,000 credits base reward | Veterans |
| Railjack missions | 30,000 to over 100,000 per mission depending on the region | Railjack players |
| Selling items | Spare blueprints, mods and weapons | Everyone |
Your first mission after the daily reset at 0:00 UTC gives double the end-of-mission credits. So do a mission with a high payout first, for example an Arbitration. This does not apply to The Index, bounties, the Zariman or Höllvania. More in Daily and weekly routine: what to do regularly.
07Boosters, companions and blessings
- A Credit Booster doubles your credits. In the Market it costs 40 platinum for 3 days, 80 for 7 days or 200 for 30 days. Sometimes it is also a login reward.
- A Mastery Rank 30 player can hand out a Credit Blessing in the Relay: 25% more credits for 3 hours.
Loyal Retriever for beast companions gives a 13% chance for picked up credits and resources to count twice.
Prosperous Retriever only doubles credits, but with up to 18% chance. You get it from The Business in Fortuna.- For Endo only the Mod Drop Chance Booster helps, not the Credit or Resource Booster.
08What is not (or no longer) worth it
- Netracells give credits from containers and Archon Shards, but no Endo. You farm other things there, see Netracells and Archimedea: weekly endgame loot.
- Sanctuary Onslaught only rarely gives small amounts of Endo. Arbitrations are much better for Endo.
- The Circuit in Duviri only gives 250 Endo as a repeated reward in normal mode. A bit more on the Steel Path, but it is not an Endo farm.
- Selling mods for credits gives very little. Dissolve them into Endo instead, or sell rare mods for platinum.
How to farm resources in general is explained in Resource farming: get there faster. More about Arbitrations in Arbitrations: rules, Vitus Essence and rewards, and about Teshin and Steel Essence in How to unlock and master the Steel Path.
Frequently asked questions
I am new. Where do I get Endo and credits early on?
Do Maroo’s Ayatan hunt every week, pick up every sculpture and star, and dissolve duplicate mods. For credits, play Dark Sector nodes such as Hieracon on Pluto and later The Index on Neptune.
Should I trade in Ayatan Sculptures right away?
Only once they are filled with all their stars. Empty sculptures give a fraction. You can also sell filled sculptures to other players.
Is a Credit Booster worth it?
Mostly if you play a lot of The Index or plan a big fusion. It does nothing for Endo, for that you need the Mod Drop Chance Booster.
Do I get all my Endo back when I dissolve a mod?
No. You get 75% of the invested Endo plus a small base value. A maxed Legendary mod gives 30,710 Endo, for example.
Do I really need to get mods to rank 10?
No. The last two ranks cost three quarters of the total price. For many builds, rank 8 or 9 is perfectly fine for now.
