Syndicates, open worlds and standing
Almost every faction in Warframe pays you in standing. Here is how the daily cap works, how you rank up and what you get from the syndicates in the Relays and in the open worlds.
This tutorial is only available in English and German for now.
At a glance
- Daily cap
- 16,000 + 500 per MR
- Ranks
- 5 per syndicate
- Relays
- 6 syndicates

01What is it about?
A syndicate is a group that works with the Tenno. Help it and you earn standing. Standing is a currency: you spend it on mods, weapons, blueprints and cosmetics, and you need it to rank up. There are two kinds: six syndicates in the Relays that are at odds with each other, and many neutral syndicates, mostly in the open worlds.
The key terms in short:
- Standing
- A syndicate’s currency. Every syndicate has its own standing, and you cannot exchange it.
- Daily cap
- The most standing you can earn per day. It depends on your Mastery Rank.
- Rank
- Your level with a syndicate. Each rank unlocks new offerings. To rank up you sacrifice standing, credits and items.
- Open world
- A large, free-roam area with its own town as a hub, e.g. the Plains of Eidolon with Cetus.
- Bounty
- A chain of small tasks you take in a hub. It gives standing and rewards.
- Sigil
- A badge on your Warframe. Syndicates sell their own sigils for each rank.
- Syndicate Medallions
- Items you pick up in Syndicate missions and trade for standing at the Relay.
02The daily cap
You cannot farm standing without limit. There is a daily cap that grows with your Mastery Rank:
| Mastery Rank | Daily cap |
|---|---|
| 0 | 16,000 |
| 5 | 18,500 |
| 10 | 21,000 |
| 20 | 26,000 |
| 30 | 31,000 |
- The six Relay syndicates share one common cap.
- Every neutral syndicate, such as the Ostrons or the Cavia, has its own cap. So you can max out several syndicates on the same day.
- Rewards from Syndicate missions and Syndicate Medallions do not count toward the cap.
03Ranks and ranking up
Every syndicate has five ranks. Once you hit the maximum standing for your rank, you can rank up. You hand over all of that standing and pay a sacrifice of credits and items. With each promotion you pick one free gift from the new rank (Syndicate weapons are excluded).
This is what ranking up looks like with the Relay syndicates:
| New rank | Standing needed | Credits | Also needed |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5,000 | 30,000 | 2 resources, depending on the syndicate |
| 2 | 22,000 | 50,000 | 1× Forma |
| 3 | 44,000 | 100,000 | 1× Orokin Catalyst or Orokin Reactor |
| 4 | 70,000 | 250,000 | 2× Aya |
| 5 | 99,000 | 500,000 | 3× Aya |
The open worlds work the same way, but their syndicates usually ask for things from their area, such as fish parts, gems or Toroids.
04The open world syndicates
Every open world has a town as its hub, home to several syndicates. They are neutral: helping one never costs you anything with another.
| Hub | Area | Syndicates |
|---|---|---|
| Cetus (Earth) | Plains of Eidolon | Ostron, The Quills |
| Fortuna (Venus) | Orb Vallis | Solaris United, Vox Solaris, Ventkids |
| Necralisk (Deimos) | Cambion Drift | Entrati, Necraloid |
| Chrysalith (Zariman) | Zariman | The Holdfasts |
| Sanctum Anatomica (Deimos) | Albrecht’s Laboratories | Cavia |
| Höllvania (Earth, 1999) | Höllvania | The Hex |
How you earn standing there and what it buys:
| Syndicate | How to earn standing | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Ostron | Bounties from Konzu, fish, raw gems, Conservation, finished Zaws at Hok | Zaw parts, fishing and mining gear |
| The Quills | Turn in Sentient Cores like Sağlam Sentient Çekirdeği, turn in finished Amps | Amp parts, Operator Arcanes |
| Solaris United | Bounties from Eudico, fish, gems, Conservation, finished Kitguns at Rude Zuud, MOAs at Legs, Debt-Bonds at Ticker | Kitguns, MOA companions |
| Vox Solaris | Turn in Toroids like Calda Toroid, turn in finished Amps | Amp parts, Operator Arcanes and cosmetics |
| Ventkids | K-Drive tricks and races on the Orb Vallis | K-Drive parts and K-Drive mods |
| Entrati | Bounties from Mother, fish, gems, Conservation. You earn tokens and trade them to Grandmother for standing | Infested weapons, companions, mods |
| Necraloid | Turn in loot from the Isolation Vaults | Necramech parts and Necramech mods |
| The Holdfasts | Turn in Voidplumes like Void Tüyü Kanadı, bounties | Blueprints for the Zariman Incarnon weapons, Arcanes |
| Cavia | Turn in Voca like Gür Voca, bounties | Qorvex parts, decorations, one Archon Shard per week from rank 5 |
| The Hex | Turn in Höllvania treasures (e.g. Big Bytes Pizza), bounties | Cyte-09 blueprints, Arcanes, cosmetics |
- Rude Zuud is not a syndicate of her own but a Solaris United vendor in Fortuna.
- Vox Solaris only opens after the quests “Vox Solaris” and “The War Within”.
- Rank 5 with Vox Solaris needs a
Crisma Toroid from the Profit-Taker. - A
Narmer Isoplast from Narmer bounties is worth 2,000 standing with the Quills or Vox Solaris. You need “The New War” for these.
05The six Relay syndicates
These six syndicates have their rooms in every Relay. You earn standing by pledging to one of them at the Syndicate console on your Orbiter. From then on, part of the Affinity from every mission turns into standing. The catch: the six like and hate each other.
| Syndicate | Allied (+50%) | Opposed (−50%) | Enemy (−100%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steel Meridian | Red Veil | New Loka | Perrin Sequence |
| Arbiters of Hexis | Cephalon Suda | Perrin Sequence | Red Veil |
| Cephalon Suda | Arbiters of Hexis | Red Veil | New Loka |
| Perrin Sequence | New Loka | Arbiters of Hexis | Steel Meridian |
| Red Veil | Steel Meridian | Cephalon Suda | Arbiters of Hexis |
| New Loka | Perrin Sequence | Steel Meridian | Cephalon Suda |
Example: earn 1,000 standing with Steel Meridian and Red Veil gains 500, New Loka loses 500 and Perrin Sequence loses 1,000.
- 01
Pick a syndicate
Open the Syndicate console on your Orbiter and pledge to a syndicate. Buy its sigil so you show it too.
- 02
Play missions
All Affinity you earn gives standing. An Affinity Booster therefore doubles it.
- 03
Do Syndicate missions
From rank 1, each syndicate offers three Syndicate missions per day. They give a lot of standing and do not count toward the daily cap.
- 04
Collect Medallions
Up to 8 Syndicate Medallions lie around in these missions. They are worth 500, 1,000 or 5,000 standing each and also skip the cap. Turn them in at the Relay.
06What you buy from the Relay syndicates
| Rank | New offerings |
|---|---|
| 1 | Sigils, Eximus Specters |
| 2 | Relic pack with 3 random Void Relics (two Lith or Meso, one Neo or Axi), first Archwing weapon parts |
| 3 | Large squad restores and other squad consumables as blueprints, more Archwing weapon parts |
| 4 | Weapon augment mods, e.g. for the Hek or Lanka |
| 5 | Warframe augment mods (25,000 standing each), Syndicate weapons, Syndicate Syandana |
Each syndicate has its own Syndicate weapons. They are modified versions of known weapons and (except for the melee ones) trigger a syndicate special effect when their meter is full:
| Syndicate | Primary | Secondary | Melee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steel Meridian | Vaykor Hek | Vaykor Marelok | Vaykor Sydon |
| Arbiters of Hexis | Telos Boltor | Telos Akbolto | Telos Boltace |
| Cephalon Suda | Synoid Simulor | Synoid Gammacor | Synoid Heliocor |
| Perrin Sequence | Secura Penta | Secura Dual Cestra | Secura Lecta |
| Red Veil | Rakta Cernos | Rakta Ballistica | Rakta Dark Dagger |
| New Loka | Sancti Tigris | Sancti Castanas | Sancti Magistar |
Warframe augment mods are the main reason many players level syndicates. They change one of your Warframe’s abilities. Every Warframe is covered by exactly two syndicates. Popular examples are
Greedy Pull for Mag,
Vampire Leech for Trinity,
Molecular Fission for Nova or
Pilfering Strangledome for Khora.
07Other syndicates in short
- Cephalon Simaris in the Relay gives standing for scans with the Synthesis Scanner.
- Conclave is Teshin’s PvP syndicate.
- Nightwave is a rotating season with weekly tasks. Its standing works differently and has little to do with this guide.
Frequently asked questions
I am new. Which syndicate should I start with?
Start with the Ostrons in Cetus, which works even before Mastery Rank 3. From MR 3, pledge to a Relay syndicate on the side that sells augments for your favorite Warframe. Then you collect standing without doing anything extra.
Why am I not getting standing anymore?
You have most likely hit the daily cap. It resets at 0:00 UTC. You can still turn in Syndicate missions and Medallions, because they do not count toward the cap.
Can I reach rank 5 with all six Relay syndicates?
Yes, but only with a lot of effort, because the syndicates take standing from each other. It is easier to pick one of the two groups of three and catch up on the others later.
Do I lose standing when I help a syndicate in an open world?
No. All open world syndicates are neutral. Only the six Relay syndicates affect each other.
Is the relic pack worth it?
Early on, yes. You get three random Void Relics, and one of them is always Neo or Axi. More about relics in Void Relics: farming Prime parts.
