Void Relics: farming Prime parts
Prime Warframes and Prime weapons come from Void Relics. Here is how relics, Void Fissures and refinement work, and how to trade leftover parts for Ducats at Baro.
This tutorial is only available in English and German for now.

01What is it about?
Void Relics are small Orokin containers. Each holds one of six possible rewards, mostly Prime parts or a
Forma blueprint. You open a relic in a Void Fissure mission. Bit by bit you collect all the parts for a Prime Warframe or Prime weapon.
The key terms in short:
- Void Relic
- A container with six possible rewards: three common, two uncommon and one rare.
- Era
- The tier of a relic: Lith, Meso, Neo or Axi. Each era is opened in matching fissures.
- Void Fissure
- A normal mission with rifts that spawn Corrupted enemies. Only here can you open relics.
- Reactant
- Glowing drops from Corrupted enemies. Collect 10 to open your relic.
- Void Traces
- A resource from fissures. You use it to refine relics so the rare reward shows up more often.
- Vaulted
- Relics that drop nowhere right now. You only get them through trading or Prime Resurgence.
- Ducats
- Baro Ki’Teer’s currency. You get them by turning in leftover Prime parts.
02The relic eras
| Era | Opened in | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| Lith | Lith or Omnia fissures | Prime parts, Forma blueprints |
| Meso | Meso or Omnia fissures | Prime parts, Forma blueprints |
| Neo | Neo or Omnia fissures | Prime parts, Forma blueprints |
| Axi | Axi or Omnia fissures | Prime parts, Forma blueprints |
| Requiem | only Requiem fissures in the Kuva Fortress | Requiem mods for Kuva Liches: create, decode and defeat them |
The Requiem Eterna Relic is a special case. It comes from Kuva Siphons and Kuva Floods and cannot be refined.
03How to open a relic
- 01
Pick a fissure
Open the Void Fissure overview in navigation. Each fissure belongs to an era and runs on a normal Star Chart node.
- 02
Choose a relic
Before the mission starts, pick a relic of the matching era. Omnia fissures accept any era except Requiem.
- 03
Collect 10 Reactant
Rifts open during the mission. The Corrupted enemies drop Reactant. With 10 of it, your relic is open.
- 04
Finish and choose
At the end you see every squad member’s reward and pick one of them, even from someone else’s relic.
- If you do not open your relic, you keep it. It is only used up once it has been opened.
- Opening your relic gives a short buff: weapons need no ammo and deal more damage, Warframes get more strength and range.
- In endless fissures you pick a new relic after each round. Now and then you also get pre-refined relics as a bonus there.
- In How to unlock and master the Steel Path fissures you also get 1 Steel Essence for every relic you open yourself.
04Refining with Void Traces
Every time you collect 10 Reactant you get 6 to 30 Void Traces at the end. Use them to refine a relic on your Orbiter or right in the selection screen before a mission. The higher the tier, the better the chance of the rare reward.
| Tier | Cost | Common (each) | Uncommon (each) | Rare |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Intact | 0 | 25.33% | 11% | 2% |
| Exceptional | 25 Void Traces | 23.33% | 13% | 4% |
| Flawless | 50 Void Traces | 20% | 17% | 6% |
| Radiant | 100 Void Traces | 16.67% | 20% | 10% |
05Where to get relics
- Endless missions such as Survival, Defense, Interception or Disruption give relics as rotation rewards.
- Every mission in the Void guarantees a relic or Aya.
- Syndicates sell packs of 3 relics for 20,000 standing.
- Teshin sells relics for 15 Steel Essence, up to 25 per week.
- Elite Sanctuary Onslaught with Cephalon Simaris can give relics that are already Radiant.
| Era | Proven nodes |
|---|---|
| Lith | Hepit (Void, Capture), Hyf (Deimos, Defense), Olympus (Mars, Disruption) |
| Meso | Io (Jupiter, Defense), Ukko (Void, Capture), Ani (Void, Survival) |
| Neo | Ukko (Void, Capture), Marduk (Void, Sabotage), Mot (Void, Survival) |
| Axi | Apollo (Lua, Disruption), Xini (Eris, Interception), Kappa (Sedna, Disruption), Mot (Void, Survival) |
06Vaulted relics and Prime Resurgence
Older Prime items eventually go into the Prime Vault. Their relics then stop dropping. Relics you already own can still be opened or traded with other players.
With Prime Resurgence, Varzia on Mars brings selected Prime items back. Her stock changes every 28 days. You buy vaulted relics from her with Aya, which you find in Void missions among other places.
07Ducats and Baro Ki’Teer
You do not have to sell duplicate Prime parts for credits. Turn them in at the Ducat kiosks in a Relay instead and get
Orokin Ducats. As a rule: common parts give 15, uncommon 45 and rare 100 Ducats.
The trader Baro Ki’Teer visits a Relay every two weeks for 48 hours. For Ducats and credits he sells rare mods, such as Primed mods, plus weapons and cosmetics. The countdown on the Ducat kiosks shows when and where he will show up.
Frequently asked questions
I am new: which relics should I open first?
Lith relics. Their fissures are easy and run on early planets. You learn how it works and collect Void Traces for later.
Why can I not start a fissure?
The node hosting the fissure must be unlocked on your Star Chart. This does not apply on the Steel Path.
Is refining always worth it?
Only if you are after a specific uncommon or rare part. For common parts and pure Ducat farming, Intact relics are the better choice.
Can I trade relics?
Yes, Void Relics are tradeable. That is also how you get vaulted relics.
