Lato is the standard-issue pistol for new Tenno recruits. Its damage is modest, but good accuracy, stability and a fast reload make it easy to handle. It deals mostly Slash damage and has very high ammo pickup.
It has a high chance of cutting corpses into pieces, which makes it a fine companion for a Desecrating Nekros. During the Awakening quest it is one of two sidearms you can choose, the other being the Kunai. It can also be bought in the Market for 10,000 Credits.
Lato was added with Vanilla (October 2012).
