01What is it about?
Baro Ki’Teer is a traveling merchant, also called the Void Trader. He is not always around. Instead he visits one of the Relays at fixed intervals. He sells things you cannot get anywhere else, above all strong Primed mods. You pay with
Orokin Ducats and credits. You get Ducats by turning in leftover Prime parts at a kiosk in the Relay.
The key terms in short:
- Baro Ki’Teer
- A trader who stands in a Relay for up to 48 hours every two weeks. His stock changes with every visit.
- Orokin Ducats
- Baro’s currency. You only get it for Prime parts. Ducats cannot be traded with other players.
- Ducat kiosk
- Two kiosks in the Relay where you exchange Prime parts for Ducats. They are always open, even when Baro is away.
- Relay
- A large space station where many players meet. You enter it from the Star Chart like a mission.
- Primed mod
- A stronger version of a normal mod with more ranks. They have Legendary rarity.
- Prime part
- A component or blueprint for a Prime Warframe or Prime weapon. It comes from Void Relics.
02When and where does Baro show up?
Baro usually arrives every two weeks on a Friday and stays for up to 48 hours. On special occasions he sometimes comes more often, for example three weeks in a row in October 2026.
He only visits these four Relays:
| Planet | Relay | Mastery Rank |
|---|---|---|
| Mercury | Larunda | from 0 |
| Earth | Strata | from 0 |
| Saturn | Kronia | from 0 |
| Pluto | Orcus | from 8 |
This is how you find out when and where he appears:
- Every Ducat kiosk shows a countdown. It also names the Relay Baro will visit next. While Baro is there, it shows how long he will stay.
- 24 hours before he arrives, an icon appears on the Star Chart and slowly moves toward the target Relay.
- As soon as he arrives, you get a message from him in your inbox.
- You can type “when baro” in chat at any time (Region or Relay channel). You get a reply with the place and time.
03How to get Ducats
Ducats come almost entirely from the Ducat kiosks. There you turn in Prime parts: blueprints, weapon parts and built Warframe components. Blueprints are worth the same as the finished part. How many Ducats a part gives depends on its rarity in the relic.
| Rarity in the relic | Color | Ducats |
|---|---|---|
| Common | Bronze | 15 |
| Uncommon | Silver | 45 |
| Rare | Gold | 100 |
- 01
Open relics
Run Void Fissures and collect Prime parts. Everything about relics is in Void Relics: farming Prime parts.
- 02
Keep duplicates
Set aside parts you have already built or own twice, for Ducats or for trading.
- 03
Fly to a Relay
Pick a Relay on the Star Chart and walk to the Ducat kiosks in the main area.
- 04
Trade in parts
Select the parts you want to turn in. The Ducats go straight into your inventory.
There are two small side sources too: Varzia sometimes sells Ducats for Aya, and Baro’s Void Surplus can contain 1,000 Ducats if you are lucky.
04Ducats or platinum?
You can either trade each Prime part for Ducats or sell it to other players for platinum. Which is better depends on the part:
- Ducats are best for parts that sell for almost nothing but give many Ducats. These are often rare parts of Prime items that are easy to farm right now.
- Sell for platinum when a part is in demand, for example because the item is in the Prime Vault and its relics no longer drop.
- Full sets usually sell for more than the single parts. If you only miss one part of a set, buying it can be worth it.
- Common parts worth 15 Ducats are not worth much. Still turn them in if they only clutter your inventory.
05What does Baro sell?
His stock changes with every visit. Every item costs Ducats plus credits. These are the kinds of things he brings:
| Type | Examples | Typical price |
|---|---|---|
| Primed mods | Primed Continuity, Primed Flow, Primed Pistol Gambit | 300 to 400 Ducats, 100,000 to 300,000 credits |
| Special weapons | Mara Detron, Prisma weapons like Prisma Obex, Vandal and Wraith weapons like Quanta Vandal | 400 to 500 Ducats, 75,000 to 350,000 credits |
| Cosmetics | Skins, syandanas, armor, ephemeras, glyphs | varies a lot |
| Decorations | Statues, posters, Floofs, Domestik Drones | varies a lot |
| Other | Boosters, Void Relics, login screen music | varies a lot |
A few things are there on every visit:
- The blueprint for the quest “Sands of Inaros”. It costs 100 Ducats and 25,000 credits and requires Mastery Rank 5. This quest gives you the Warframe
Inaros. - The Void Surplus for 50,000 credits and 0 Ducats. It is a box with a random reward, such as
Forma, Aya, boosters or Exilus Adapters. You can buy it once per visit. - A special item only for players who visit him with
Inaros Prime.
06What is worth buying first?
At the start you only have a few Ducats. Spend them on things that make you stronger rather than on cosmetics:
Primed Continuity and
Primed Flow are useful on almost every Warframe. They make your abilities last longer and give you much more energy.- Primed mods for weapon types you use a lot, for example
Primed Pistol Gambit for critical secondaries or
Primed Pressure Point for melee. - The “Sands of Inaros” blueprint once you reach MR 5 and want
Inaros. - The Void Surplus every time, since it only costs credits.
A Primed mod replaces its normal version. You cannot equip both together. More about mods and ranks is in Modding basics: capacity, Endo, Forma and more.
Frequently asked questions
I am new. Is Baro worth it for me yet?
Yes, once you have opened a few relics. Collect duplicate Prime parts, turn them into Ducats and buy
Primed Continuity or
Primed Flow first. You can even buy the Void Surplus without any Ducats.
How do I know when Baro arrives?
Check the countdown on a Ducat kiosk in the Relay or type “when baro” in chat. Once he has arrived, you also get a message in your inbox.
Can I trade Ducats with other players?
No. Ducats themselves cannot be traded. You can buy Prime parts, though, and turn them into Ducats yourself.
What happens if I miss Baro?
Nothing bad. His items come back on later visits, you just do not know when in advance. Simply save your Ducats for the next visit.
Do I have to max Primed mods right away?
No. You can rank them up step by step. Only at higher ranks do they beat the normal version at max rank. Until then, just keep using the normal mod.
