Viper is a machine pistol of Grineer design issued to Shield Lancers. It is the most portable Grineer weapon, with a high rate of fire and an extremely efficient magazine reload, but poor accuracy. Damage is mostly Impact, and it can use Skull Shots and Stinging Truth.
Tapping the trigger precisely uses just one or two bullets per burst, a good way to save ammo. The Viper is also an ingredient for Twin Vipers (two needed). It sells for 2,500 Credits, and the blueprint is a Market purchase.
Viper was added with Update 7.0 (March 2013).
