Vital Sense is a rare primary mod for rifles that has been in the game since the beginning. It raises the critical multiplier by 20% per rank, +120% at rank 5, and is one of the most common choices for crit builds. It is additive with other critical damage sources.
It drops from the enemies listed on this page, or you can get it through transmutation. A Flawed version also exists. Use it on rifles with a high base critical chance, since the multiplier only pays off if you actually land crits regularly, and pair it with a critical chance mod like Point Strike.
Vital Sense was added with Vanilla (October 2012).
Vital Sense is tradable, see the current prices in the market box above.
