Vicious Spread is a rare Corrupted mod for shotguns from Update 10.3. It adds 15% damage per rank, reaching +90% at rank 5, but widens the spread by 10% per rank, up to +60%. The damage stacks additively with similar mods such as Point Blank.
The mod drops from the enemies listed in the table on this page and cannot be transmuted. The wider spread means more pellets miss at range, so it works best at close quarters or on shotguns that already have tight grouping, where the extra damage is worth the loss in accuracy.
Vicious Spread was added with Update 10.3 (October 2013).
