Survival Instinct is a rare precept mod for the Sly Vulpaphyla from Update 29.0. When you perform a Bullet Jump, enemies lose sight of you for a short time, 1.5 seconds at max rank, and the effect has a cooldown that drops to 5 seconds.
The mod is automatically acquired after you obtain a Sly Vulpaphyla and complete its revivification. It cannot be transmuted. It is handy for movement-focused players who use Bullet Jump to dodge danger and want a brief break from enemy attention.
Survival Instinct was added with Update 29.0 (August 2020).
