Sundering Strike is a rare melee mod that adds Puncture damage, +90% at rank 5. It stacks with Rending Strike and Auger Strike for up to 290% Puncture in total, though those bonuses only multiply the base Puncture value of the weapon.
The mod has existed since the start of the game. You can farm it from the enemies on this page or get it through transmutation, and a Flawed version exists too. It makes sense on melee weapons whose base damage already has a notable Puncture share, for example to pierce armored targets.
Sundering Strike was added with Vanilla (October 2012).
