Spring-Loaded Blade is a melee mod with a status trigger. Whenever your weapon inflicts a status effect, you gain extra range, up to +1 meter at rank 5, for 24 seconds, and the bonus can stack up to two times.
It drops from the enemies shown in the table on this page and cannot be transmuted. The mod works best on melee weapons with high status chance, so that the buff is refreshed constantly. Extra range helps you hit groups from a safer distance and makes wide combos cover more ground.
Spring-Loaded Blade was added with Update 22.0 (October 2017).
