Rending Strike adds Puncture and Slash to melee weapons, 20% Puncture and 15% Slash per rank for a maximum of 80% and 60% at rank 3. That gives physical-focused builds extra armor-ignoring bleeds.
It drops from Nightmare Mode missions and other sources in the table. Use it on melee weapons with good status chance, where the extra Slash and Puncture can create bleeds and reduce enemy armor.
Rending Strike was added with Update 9.0 (July 2013).
