Kinetic Diversion converts 40% of the damage your Archwing takes on Health into Energy. Without Shields, damage to Overguard from an ally is converted as well, and it also applies to damage over time and effects that bypass shields.
It drops from enemy sources listed in the drop tables. It is a useful sustain mod for Archwing builds that burn a lot of energy and take regular hits from enemy fire.
Kinetic Diversion was added with Update 22.0 (October 2017).
