Hammer Shot is a rifle mod that boosts both critical damage and status chance. At rank 5 it gives +60% Critical Damage, and it is additive with comparable mods like Rifle Aptitude on weapons such as the Snipetron.
It is a rare drop that can come from Nightmare mode missions and other sources listed in the drop tables. Slot it into crit-based rifles where a bigger multiplier matters more than extra raw damage.
Hammer Shot was added with Update 9.0 (July 2013).
