Empowered Blades is an aura mod that boosts status chance and status damage on Heavy Attacks for the squad, up to +60% at max rank, at the cost of draining shields on every heavy hit.
It drops from the Feyarch Specter, which appears after you anoint a Silver Grove shrine with the Sunrise Apothic. It suits melee squads that rely on heavy attacks and have strong health or overguard to cover the drain.
Empowered Blades was added with Update: The Silver Grove (August 2016).
