Contagious Spread raises the Toxin damage of shotguns by 15% per rank, reaching 90% at rank 5. As a basic elemental mod, it bypasses shields and is a building block for combined elements.
It drops from Sabotage missions on Eris, from The Circuit in Duviri and from enemies like Scavenger Drones. Pair it with Heat to form Gas, or with Electricity for Corrosive, depending on your shotgun.
