Silva & Aegis is a Tenno Heat-based sword and shield weapon and the first fan-designed weapon from DE's Community Melee Weapons contest to be added to the game. It gains bonus critical and status chance when blocking enemy hits.
The blueprint is researched in the Tenno Lab of a clan dojo, after which clan members can craft it. A Prime version also exists. Block incoming hits to power it up and then counterattack for stronger crits.
Silva & Aegis was added with Update 14.0 (July 2014).
