Elytron is the offensive Archwing for area bombardment. Its missile abilities hit multiple enemies at once, and it has a high durability compared with the other Archwings, which keeps it alive in long space fights.
Both the main and component blueprints are researched in the Tenno Lab of a clan dojo. They can only be bought once The Archwing quest is done, so finish that story step before you plan a clan research.
Elytron was added with Update 15.0 (October 2014).
